The show is part of an International television franchise.

It runs in three phases: blind auditions, battle rounds and live performance shows. Basically, the concept is to find officially unrecognized singing talents. The show is contested by aspiring singers be them solo or duet, professional or amateur above 13 years of age. All of these contestants go through public auditions and the selected ones contest for the winning title. Currently the methods opted for voting are the show’s app, and online voting through Facebook.

The amazing twist is that the season begins with The “Blind Auditions,” where coaches’ chairs are faced towards the audience during artists’ performances; so only analyzing the participants on the basis of their voice they make their choice.

Now if only one coach has showed interest for a candidate, it becomes the mentor directly. But if more than one coach has their eye on any contestant, the power to choose his mentor is given to the contestant only.

Now each singer is mentored by its coach. Also, they have “Battle Rounds,” where each coach pairs two of his or her team members to perform together, then chooses one to advance into the next knockout phase. In this round, each of the remaining 32 acts performs a solo on stage to compete with three others for a place in the Live Round. The coach can choose only one from each of these performances to progress to the final eight. In each season, coaches are assisted by celebrity mentors that are different each season.

In third phase, the final 8 contestants competed against each other. The audience and coaches had equal say in deciding who moved on to the final 4 phase. The player chooses his own performance song and on the basis judged and one is advanced to the next level. In the final live performance phase of the competition, artists perform in weekly shows, where public voting narrows to a final group of artists and eventually declares a winner. The winner is determined by television viewers voting by telephone, Internet, SMS text and receives a recording contract with Universal Music.
